Week 5 Syndrome

It's been a while since I've written on this blog.

It's Monday. It's Week 5. It's a bad mix, kind of like a stiff English gin and tonic and too many stale bar peanuts. They fight each other and then pair up to fight you.

Well, Monday, that's self- explanatory. As for Week 5, it's halfway through the term and when students are known to 'hit the wall' (runner's lingo). Basically, you feel like you're moving but going nowhere because an impassible wall is eyeing you square in the face as it towers toward the granite sky.

So what's a girl to do? Call on Mumford and Sons, of course! The Cave is particularly good and has got a catchy chorus AND cool references to Plato's Cave.

Also, we had snow! How many feet you ask. Sorry to disappoint but we had so much snow that if you sneezed, the snow vanished. A mere centimeters and the whole country came to halt. Oh Montreal, I miss your no-nonsense way of dealing with blizzards!

Today's food for thought: How airplanes should really be laid out
