Regardless of where you're from or where you are, Halloween now has (an almost universal) presence. Last night was Oxford legendary Halloqueen party. Lots of crazy costumes (and how many of those in crazy outfits will be politicians and major global influences? just saying. We're all human) and an even more ecclectic music variety.
The evening can best be summed up by this shake-what-your-mama-gave-you 80s tune.
This week marked my being in the UK for a full month. Whohoo! The honeymoon's over but the 1-month benchmark is a start. As for classes, it's Week 3. What? Yup, let me clarify. The days just seem to fly by, with one quickly flowing into the other masked by heaps of reading, sprinkled with essays and presentations. We're barely into November and yet most of us are in middle of holiday plans and next spring/ summer research arrangements.
